Yes, Daleks are very interesting villians. But don't you think that they are over used? if you over use a villian they stop becoming scary. That's why they keep upgrading the darleks. The Fourth Doctor only had two episodes with daleks throughout his entire series, if I remember correct (Episodes being the name of a series of episodes, as they were in those days). It could be useful to give the daleks more of a rest from centre stage and let others take that role. But I do agree that the daleks are good but they are over used.

Definitely over used. I like them, yeah, but they are used way too much. I like the Weeping Angels best of all, but they've only been used a couple of times. I guess that's why they are so interesting. But even if they were used a lot I would still like them because frankly they are scary and amazing. I wasn't scared of them as in jump behind the sofa scared, I mean as in I get a thrill when I watch them scared. Sorry, I'm rambling. But anyway, the Slitheen are also good, as are..well, all the monsters except Daleks and Cybermen, who are both over used. Does anyone agree about the Cybermen being over used as well as the Daleks?

Well, Daleks and Cybermen are scary to most people, and probably the most scary monsters on Doctor Who, though I don't really mind scary. The Weeping Angels were freaky though. I was in my room, the light was off, and I was eating popcorn. I wasn't exactly scared...but when my cat came in and sat by my feet it scared the living hell out of me. But hey, I love being scared. Yes, I'm weird. Torchwood is quite scary, but I love it.

I've found a solution to unsettling moments in Doctor Who. I have a meat smasher in my room, in fact, its on my desk right now. Very reassuring when playing Dead Space at 2 in the morning.
Also, K-9 and friends. That's all I'm saying.

I don't find things scary. I watched women in black and I was not scared, I laughed at the London Dungeons and I started watching Doctor Who at the age of 8 or 9 and found nothing scary. I once went through a short time of finding things scary, as so the Vasheden Narada (never can spell that) did scare me then. I think the best way not to be scared is to imagine what would happened if you had a bazooka at hand. Cybermen are also over used. They should use new monsters that can be more terrifying!

I totally agree, Sherlock. At first Cybermen and Daleks were rather scary. And then they got boring. New monsters are the best idea...but I can't help loving the Weeping Angels.
