Matt walked into work smiling happily. Steven came rushing up to him. "Matt! We're doing a read-through of one of the episodes today. You'll have to get all dressed up as the Doctor. It'll make you work better."[/color] he said.
Matt grinned. "Calm down Steven! I'll go get ready shall I? Do the others know?"[/color] Matt said. Steven shook his head and went off, maybe to tell them.
When Matt was all dressed as the Doctor he made his way to stand with his other co-stars. Steven nodded at him, giving him a smile, then he handed out the script papers, however was called to deal with something.
"Okay, you lot read through that and be ready to read it out when I return okay?"[/color] and with that, Steven was off. Matt blinked and scanned the script.
"How're we supposed to read it if we don't know how he wants us to read it? He's always telling me to put more excitement and emotion into my words...I don't know what tone of voice I'm supposed to be using here..."[/color] Matt muttered. Alex laughed. Matt looked round the circle, grinning a bit.

"Karen, we've got a read-through of episode four and five. I've just told Matt." Steven, the writer and executive producer said as he rushed up to her. "Oh, cool! Sounds great. Wearing a skirt so Amy Pond mode activated," she said excitedly and Steven laughed before rushing off again mummbling about fans trying to 'infiltrate' the set. Karen had her script in hand as she opened the doorvto the read-through room, spotting Matt Brown all geared up and a bunch of other cast and crew. Karen hadn't met Matt yet and grinned as she walked/skipped over to him. "What are you having trouble with?" she asked. "Maybe if we do it together it'll come naturally?"

Matt glanced up as Karen came over and grinned at her. "Hi. And nothing really, just that I'm trying to figure out what tone of voice I should be using here; excitement, seriousness, boredom...Steven didn't say, so."[/color] Matt shrugged, then smiled at her. "It's nice to finally meet you though, Karen!"[/color] Matt looked at her and smiled; he had a feeling he'd like working with her.

Karen grinned, she had a feeling she'd love working with him, too. "Brilliant to meet you, too, Matt! You can call me Kaz, if you want. And don't worry about the line, I'm sure once we get reading and get the ball rolling you'll know exactly what to say and you know, how to say it."

"Kaz..I like it! Kaz it is, then. And yeah, you have a point there, thanks."[/color] Matt scanned the script, then looked at the first line. "Looks like you're up first with an Amy line, Kaz."[/color] Matt noted, grinning at her.

[color=red"Oh, right. Here we go,"[/color] Karen laughed and cleared her throat, initiating Amy Pond mode.
"Explain! Who is that and how did she do that museum thing?" she said in Amy's stubborn, commanding tone.

Matt laughed at her Amy Pond mode, and put on his own 'the Doctor' mode.

Karen smiled; Matt was brilliant. 'Amy' narrowed her eyes and Karen pretended they were in the Tardis.

Matt smiled at Kaz. She was very good at this. She had even narrowed her eyes just like Amy would. Matt then looked at the script and replied. "Leaving. She's got where she wants to go, let's go where we want to go."[/color] Matt said, doing his arrogant Doctor voice to fit the way he was speaking.

After performing it to Steven..
"That was great, guys. Especially you, Matt and Karen, more so at the bickering part."[/color] Steven checked his watch and nodded. "Okay, Matt, Karen, you two go get a coffee and something to eat. Alex, I just want to run over some things with you and the rest."[/color]
Matt grinned at Karen. "Hey, you were amazing at Amy."[/color] he told her.
