Renae is sometimes forgetful and is often easily flustered, although being somewhat unemotional means that others don't notice. She hates her flaws with a passion and always wonders why she isn't good enough. For Renae, making a mistake is a serious weakness.
History:
Renae was born to parents Thomas and Addison Pierce and had a very happy childhood despite being an only child. Renae often accompanied her father on trips to the journalist office where he worked but she was never really interested in writing - only reading.
She had quite a few friends around the neighborhood in her early days but as she grew older she grew apart from them. A particularly nasty incident between her and another girl placed something of a permanent rift between Renae and everyone around her.
School was a terrible time for Renae and she was relieved when she finally graduated. She took up a course at university but dropped out a year later. Feeling like a disappointment to her parents, Renae moved away to the city.
Throughout her twenties, Renae drifted from career to career, never really finding one that suited her. Unemployed once again, Renae is looking for work anywhere!
RP Sample:
Renae fumbled with the keys, grimacing as cold raindrops splattered over her jacket and hair. She cussed loudly as the jumble of keys slipped from her numbed fingers and clattered to the sidewalk.
Muttering darkly under her breath she snatched them up and shoved the house key into the lock. She twisted it and pulled it free. Grabbing her shopping bags and tucking the slightly damp newspaper under her arm, she pushed into her apartment. Outside, thunder rumbled.
Relieved to finely be inside where it was both dry and reasonably warm, Renae sighed. The tall blonde dragged the shopping awkwardly down the hall into the small, cozy kitchen. With a bit of effort she hauled the bags onto the bench. She threw the paper unceremoniously onto the table and placed the key ring on a hook near the window.
Tucking a strand of damp hair behind her ear she checked her mobile. No new messages. She put her phone on the charger and made her way into the tiny lounge room. "Where did I ... Oh, there it is!" Her slender fingers wrapped around the shiny cover of a new novel and she slumped into the nearest chair. "Nothing like a crime on such a gloomy day," she smiled to herself.
