Karen had underestimated how big the Whovian fanbase was. When she left her house that day, she was still blisfully unaware of all the 'Karen McKay Sexual Frustration' blogs. She was walking down the street to her nearest Tesco's when she spotted someone pointing a camera at her from behind a pole. 'How long has he been taking pictures of me?!" Karen thought, trying not to let it bother her. With her job it was only to be expected; occupational hazard, so to speak. But he looked at her like she was only an animal, being documented. She didn't want 'Karen McKay gets angry at creepy paparazzi' to be in the Daily Mail so Karen slipped into Tesco and hoped he wouldn't follow her in. Glancing back she saw him waiting outside. Frowning, she ignored this and picked up a shopping basket and started piling in groceries. Deep in thought, she bumped into a bunch of stacked cereal boxes and most of it toppled down. "Oh, God..." she muttered under her breath and crouched down, trying not to look panicked or frantic as she piled the boxes into her arms. If the paparazzi got a picture of this... 'Faster, Karen!

Sherlock was being his usual self, making sure that everything was in control and that he was updated on any situation that could affect him. Unfortunately, that included Karen. From what he had seen of her, she could pose a threat. Mycroft could be paying her to keep an eye out for Sherlock and he needed the data to find out if it were the truth. The only other people who lived near Sherlock that Mycroft would pay would be John or Mrs Hudson, and it was obvious that it wasn't those two, although John was often 'borrowed' by Mycroft on several occasions.
Easily remaining out of sight from Karen, Sherlock followed her and noticed that someone else was also doing the same thing. Someone with a camera. Interesting. Sherlock watched the person, evidentally a fan, not one of Mycroft's or even Moriarty's. Intentions, not good. Independant worker, but evidentally having feelings for her, not good. Lust and possession. Finally, Karen appeared to notice the photgrapher, but not Sherlock. She headed into Tesco's and Sherlock watched as the man with the camera paused, before following. Moving slightly forward, Sherlock watched as the man briefly put his camera away.
Slipping his hand into the bag where the camera was stored, Sherlock took it out and continued onwards, out of sight. Then he checked the images, not very good ones. Sherlock sighed. Must be one of those annoying independant people that made news that was unimportant and boring. Placing the camera in his pockets, Sherlock saw the confusion on the stranger's face and he gave a small smile. Then a crash as Karen walked into a pile of ceral boxes. Moving silently, over, Sherlock offered a gloved hand. "Need any help?" He asked, politely.

Jared watched the chaos unfold from a distance, he was currently dressed like Sherlock his Sherlock make carefully applied, unsure of what to make of the chaos when He showed up.
"Sherlock Holmes..." His eyes widened and he found himself unable to stop himself from full out tackling Sherlock out of giddiness and excitement.
He got up quickly and attempted to walk away.

'Need any help?' a polite voice asked.
Karen looked up and saw none other than the great Sherlock Holmes, the last person she expected to see here. Especially with the intention of helping her out of a sticky situation.
"Sherlock? What are you - Nevermind that, uhm, yeah, help would be brilliant, thanks..." she mummbles, feeling stupid. She glances behind her, trying to see if the bloke with the camera was still there. Karen bit her lip.

Sherlock's icy gaze flickered over Karen's face as she spoke. She was suprised by his apperance, which wasn't suprising. Sherlock's apperance in a supermarket was an incredibly rare. The next incredibly rare action was Sherlock helping someone out. But helping Karen out would be the best way to find out if she were in the pay of Mycroft. Being spied on was something that Sherlock disliked and for some reason his brother insisted that Sherlock be spied on. Usually Sherlock caught them, although he was always wary. There could be a few people outside of his knowledge.
"Sherlock? What are you - Nevermind that, uhm, yeah, help would be brilliant, thanks..." Sherlock looked at the ceral boxes and then at the puzzled man who had now lost his camera. "Don't worry about the ameatur. He's lost his camera and wouldn't know what to do with them if he still had them. Besides, if they got up on the internet, and they are not flattering, then its always possible that someone would take them down." Sherlock said, leaving it open. From what he knew, Amy was rising within the acting ranks and so the company she worked for might protect her and take the images down. And if she was working for Mycroft, he would be keeping an eye on that.
Just then, someone headed into Sherlock, rather fast and the detective turned around, ready for someone trying to steal something form him. It was a common attempt. But a quick can over the person informed Sherlock that it was no one trying to steal. Also, the detective could tell that no change had happened in his pockets. He only had the camera and a spare ID card of Lestrade's. Neither of those had been taken. Nothing at all removed.
Unfortunately, it appeared he was facing someone who was a fan of his. His icy gaze, if possible, got colder as he regarded the stranger. Modified face to look more like his own. So had to be reasonable rich to afford it. Face Mask as well. Very obsessive. And seeing as Sherlock had to cope with Newspapers wanting his life story, that suggested his desire to be like Sherlock outweighed that annoyance. Evidentally spent a lot of time on the computer, based on his hands. No sign of any work and slight change for the work on computers. Not a secritary, based on the wealth he would have needed. So a hobby.
The Homeless Network had also told Sherlock that during his 'death' someone had been impersonating him. That was something that Sherlock disagreed with. It was likely that this was the person. "Stop." Sherlock said briefly and harshly to the rich fan. Last time Sherlock had a fan, he had atleast done something interesting. Gone around, killed people. Moriarty was certainly much more interesting. "Shall we depart?" Sherlock asked. Leaving before too much attention was attracted was his forte.

Karen looked puzzled. Was he actually comforting her...?
"Wait, you took his camera, didn't you? Why would you -" Karen couldn't finish her question because someone who looked weirdly similiar to Sherlock ran into her strangely polite neighbour. She watched the scene play out, eyes wide.
"Stop," Sherlock told his dobbelganger before he addressed her again. 'Shall we depart?' he asked her and she nodded, getting up and putting a few boxes back.
"Yeah, seems the world's gone absolutely mental just because I wanted some milk. I can understand why you send John to do it," she said as she dusted off her knees quickly.

Sherlock's saw Karen's puzzled face and the detective was calm about it, no emotions showing on his face. The stranger who wanted to be like him was continuing to walk away. That didn't bother the detective. His main aim was to warn him to stop pretending to be like Sherlock. If the detective had been on better terms with Mycroft, he might have asked the British Government to intervene. But Sherlock did not enjoy comunicating with Mycroft. Besides, his brother probably already knew that information anyway. Besides, the stranger could end up killed if he wasn't careful. People sometimes did try and kill Sherlock.
"Wait, you took his camera, didn't you? Why would you -" Sherlock raised an eyebrow. "I don't need any more publicity near Baker Street. Let alone in Baker Street." Sherlock commented. "You can keep the camera if you wish." He commeted, she could view the pictures taken and then be annoyed at the person and the camera. It was one of those things that models and actors appeared to be annoyed at. But she hadn't made any references to Mycroft or the British Government.
"Yeah, seems the world's gone absolutely mental just because I wanted some milk. I can understand why you send John to do it," Sherlock nodded, and gestured towards the door. "Well, we probably should make our exist. John got milk recently, any way, if you need any." Sherlock said, the latter bit aimed at trying to determine if Karen was working for Mycroft. "I doubt you want to attract any more attention." He said, in the same emotionless tone that he always kept.

She held out her hand for the camera. "Thanks, by the way. I know you didn't do it for me, but still. Thanks."
"Well, we probably should make our exist. John got milk recently, any way, if you need any. "I doubt you want to attract any more attention."" Wait, what? Last time she wanted to go into his flat he almost poisoned her. Why the sudden change? Karen shook her head, "Thanks, but I'll just have a friend pick up some for me. Sure he won't... Mind. Dammit!" Karen cursed under her breath. Whoever that guy with the camera was, he had obviously told all his friends that Karen was out and about. A small crowd had formed in front of 221 Baker Street.

"Thanks, by the way. I know you didn't do it for me, but still. Thanks." Sherlock regarded Karen then looked around. "A bit early for that." Sherlock commented, as he saw the group of people slowly coming forwards. Just his luck, the new neighbour brought in more publicity. ]"Thanks, but I'll just have a friend pick up some for me. Sure he won't... Mind. Dammit!" Sherlock nodded. That did seem like a better idea and yet there wer still no signs that she worked for Mycroft, maybe she didn't. Then again, she was an actor.
Looking out at the crowd, Sherlock's gaze scanned over them. "You don't want to attract attention?" Sherlock asked, although it was more of a statement. The crowd had yet to notice Karen. "I'll deal with it." He said. Moving forwards, he acted as if he were waiting excitedly to see Karen, like all the others. pretending to look around, he waited until someone on the opposite side to Karen had almost walked out of sight. "Oh my gosh, si that her?"/color] he asked, pointing, his voice sounding like one of the fans.
They rushed towards where he was pointing and Sherlock shifted out of character, opened the door and walked in. Simple. "Coming?" He asked, ready to close the door if the fans came back. Publicity and media were never a good thing.

"Oh my gosh, is that her?" Karen saw what he was up to and hid behind a tree. "Coming?"
Sprinting forwards, she darted through the door. "Thank you. Sorry for all the... Publicity. I know you hate it. And me. So extra thanks."

As soon as Karen entered the house, Sherlock closed the door behind her, quickly and rushed up stairs to look out of the window in his flat. John was not in, which didn't suprise the detective. John was often out, and Sherlock didn't always notice. "Thank you. Sorry for all the... Publicity. I know you hate it. And me. So extra thanks." "They haven't come back to surronding the house. Probably will take them about ten minutes until they realise. They're not that bright." Sherlock commented. Hardly anyone was, but that had been a simple decoy.
