Canon
Name: Colonel Sebastian Moran
Age: 30
Job/Occupation: Sniper, assassin and right hand man to the world’s only Consulting Criminal, Jim Moriarty.
Appearance: Sticky uppy brown hair, skinny, weighs 187lbs, 6ft 1 inches, has brown eyes and loves suits. He often wears converse with his suits and basically wears a mixture of formal and informal. T-shirts instead of buttoned up shirts, loose ties, jeans instead of suit bottoms and his shirts are just never tucked in.
Personality: Very serious but with a constant underlying humour. Does the most unexpected things and can hide who he truly is pretty well. He’s not who you expect an assassin to be like, and when he’s not on a mission, he never talks about what he did or what he’s about to do to anyone than Jim. So you would think he’s just a normal guy instead of a mass murdering trained assassin sniper who’s been labelled the second most dangerous man in London.
He’s mistrusting and one of those people who thinks if you want something done it’s better to do it yourself because nobody else can do anything right. He often yells at incompetent people and his patience is not the best. Word to the wise; never piss this man off if he has a gun. Actually, never piss him off, because sometimes, even though not always, you can really see why he has been labelled as the second most dangerous man in London.
He can be intimidating, scary, your worst nightmare and he really doesn’t have any empathy towards anyone. He will, and can kill you, which he will do without blinking. Basically he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty.
He also has a fun side to him, likes good movies, pizza and tea, marshmallows in his coffee and enjoys driving like a mad man on the streets of London. But no one ever sees this side but, only sometimes, Jim. He’s not the type to talk about his life, you’re lucky if he even gives you his real name.
All in all, don’t get on his bad side, and if you are one of those rare and very lucky people who are on his good side, well done!
History: Sebastian Moran was born into a rich family who loved him, but he had to be perfect. From a very young age his parents already started him with piano lessons, learning languages, reading and everything they thought would make him the best. He had to be perfect, and for him, from a very young age, it got too much sometimes. Being a child without a hug, without the constant compliments and words of support from parents, being the child that had to work and get the perfect marks, the perfect results for a toy or a treat, slowly turned him into a very independent person that didn’t need anyone to do anything for him.
When he was old enough, his father always took him hunting, where he first discovered his talent for weaponry. He enjoyed the hunting trips, because in all honesty, that was the only time his father ever seemed happy with what he did, because he was so good at it.
But as he grew, the pressure of being perfect in so many things getting to him, he finally had enough and one night, at the age of seventeen, decided to run away and join the Military. Even though he wasn’t legally eighteen years old, the clever teenager found a way around them and lied to get himself into the Military. He excelled in almost everything he did and soon became a Colonel.
But everything went horribly wrong after he was assigned to assassinate the enemy’s General and ended up, accidentally, assassinating his own. That was the first and last mistake he ever made, and promised himself never to screw up like that again. Though after he’d been discharged from the military and arrested for murder, everyone thought he’d turned and meant to kill his side’s General. He, after trying to convince the Military that that was not his intention and them not believing him because of how good he was, escaped to London where he was recruited by Jim Moriarty.
At first he didn’t want the position, but Jim convinced him that he’s already being labelled as a criminal and if you can’t beat them, join them. After giving it much thought, thinking about all those people he had to kill to escape and even all those he had to kill before, he soon realized that he felt nothing while doing so, and realized what Jim said was true. He then accepted Jim’s offer and soon became his right hand man, doing all the dirty work which he didn’t mind at all.
Jim, on one boring afternoon, developed a fascination with the world’s only Consulting Detective, Sherlock Holmes. But Sebastian on the other hand, decided to stay out of it until Jim truly needed his assistance. The first time this need aroused was at a pool which Jim decided would be the end of his little game he was playing, which Sebastian followed quite eagerly, finding it quite exciting and admired Jim’s clever way of toying with the Detective’s mind.
He sat back ready to shoot Sherlock and his little side-walk as soon as Jim gives signal or as soon as Sherlock tried something, which sadly didn’t happen because of one phone call, but at least he got a good and proper laugh out it, glad Jim stuck with the ring tone he provided one lazy morning. Afterwards Sebastian went back to his old life, not messing in with Jim’s ‘Sherlock affairs’ unless needed, but he kept up with the happenings, finding it amusing like a good book or a film.
That all changed as Jim decided to play another little game, which didn’t end as expected. Though Jim did warn him this might happen, that he might die, Sebastian took it more as a joke than anything else and sat by waiting to kill John if Sherlock tries to escape from whatever Jim was doing up on that roof.
When Sebastian heard the gunshot that meant the death of Jim, he thought nothing of it, thinking it was probably the death of Sherlock, and therefore packed up his things thinking the game was over. But when he found that Jim shot himself, the sniper went into complete shock, always knowing the man was crazy but not understanding why he would do that.
Sebastian, being the right hand man and second in charge, thought that he would have to continue what Jim started, step up and be what Jim was, which seemed like an impossible task. As he sat one night looking through everything he has to do now to keep things going, Jim returned, and to be honest, Sebastian was furious and refused to talk to the man for weeks, giving him the silent treatment.
But after a while, Sebastian just couldn’t take it anymore and started talking again, in all truth, glad that he was back, after all, Jim was, in a weird way, his only friend.
Anything else: Prefers five mini marshmallows in his coffee/Hot Chocolate. Have I mentioned his brilliant with a gun? Skilled in martial arts and has very good aim not just with shooting but with throwing things like knives and random objects as well. Likes driving and he’s pretty good at it. Hates travelling by public transport and his bad deed for the day, if no missions, is not to tip the waiter.
Has an obsession with Marvel and the Beatles, also likes Jim’s ties and often ‘borrows’ one. He loves pie, and his hobby is setting a new record by trying to kill someone from an extreme distance. Contrary to popular believe, he does not smoke but wouldn’t mind a cigar now and then and prefers scotch or a whiskey.

”Sir... he’s dead.” One of the morons Sebastian absolutely despised told him, but Sebastian just shook his head, refusing to believe him, obviously this guy didn’t know Jim... who would, it’s only Sebastian that’s ever came so close, and not even he knows what’s going on in that brilliantly twisted mind.
“Yeah, sure, whatever.” Sebastian waved him off, loading his gun in preparation for an upcoming mission, but the man wouldn’t leave.
”What?” he asked in frustration, looking towards him.
”He’s really dead, sir, he pulled the trigger on himself, there’s no possible way he could’ve survived that.” the man went on and Sebastian stood silently for a few seconds before turning his attention back to the weapons neatly laid out in front of him on the table.
He picked one up and slowly loaded it, bringing it up to his eyes and examining it carefully, the other man becoming suspicious, thinking Sebastian was going to do the same as Jim, but then Sebastian finally spoke.
”Then there’s really no reason to keep you around then, now is there?” he placed his finger on the trigger and slowly turned his head, his expression emotionless but yet deadly.
The man’s eyes widen in realization of what Sebastian’s intentions was and reached for his own gun, but that just caused Sebastian’s lips to curl into a twisted grin, shaking his head.
”Oh I love that, go on, get your gun out and try make this more amusing for me. Go on, I’m sure you can take me.” He winked, not even yet pointing his gun, only shifting in his stance to face the man who now had the gun in his hand, on alert from Sebastian’s movement.
”Thank you for telling me the worst news anyone could possibly tell me right now. It’s sad really, that it also causes your death. Aw well, I never did like you.” Sebastian said, his fingers moving as he positions the gun in his hand.
”Please,”
”Oh shut up, really? You’re going to beg while you’re holding a gun to my head but I’m not even holding mine to yours? How pathetic. But it also means that you know I’m going to come out on top,” he started walking closer, still not pointing the gun towards the man ”Which means you know you’re going to die. Mmm...” he stopped in front of the man, the gun only a few inches from his head.
”Please? Oh, if I had a penny for every time someone told me that. But tell you what; I’ll give you two options. First option, you take this gun you’re so foolishly pointing at my head, stick it in your mouth and pull the trigger. Or two, and my personal favourite, I take your gun and kill you with it... slowly. Now please, do not take your time in deciding, I really have to disappear.”
The man looked into Sebastian’s confident eyes and at the gun, his hand shaking and his eyes emotional, an image Sebastian was use to seeing quite often. Sebastian’s grin grew as the man started directing the gun towards his own mouth, slowly pushing it in and looking towards Sebastian with pleading eyes.
”Do it, give yourself that last pleasure.” He simply said and stepped back, the smirk not vanishing, his gun still in his hand but his finger no longer on the trigger.
The man gave Sebastian one more look, glancing around the room for any possible way out, but finding nothing other than the door Sebastian was blocking. He closed his eyes, a final tear falling before he placed his finger on the trigger and shot himself, the blood splashing to all sides like a sprinkler, the man falling to the ground and soon laying in his own pool of blood.
Sebastian looked at the man, his smirk vanishing and he moved back to the case and packed all the guns in, shutting it and looking towards the dead body.
”Goodbye, Jim.” he said, his expression sad, but he held back as much emotion as possible, trained and believing that it’s pointless.
He turned his eyes away, and walked away from the scene, disappearing from everything to figure out what next, what was he suppose to do now.
