Oh, the look on the officer at the counter's face had been hilarious. It was a miracle that he managed not to laugh. The policemen who came to take him to a cell were also similarly shocked. Of course it was to be expected, though, seeing as how he had done the unexpected. That morning, the great Consulting Criminal James Moriarty, had marched into Scotland Yard, put a gun down on the secretary's desk in the foyer, and held out his hands which were promptly cuffed.
That had been around three hours ago. For the duration of that time, Moriarty had sat at one side of a metal table in a room with the usual white concrete walls, and only one window set high up on one of them. They'd tried to get him to talk, obviously. Quite a few had tried. The only one that had been worth his time was Lestrade, because he was the one he wanted to tell something to. When he'd come in, trying to be bossy and in charge and not shocked at all, Moriarty had told him plain and simply that he wouldn't talk to anyone. Except for one person. So it was for that reason that Lestrade sent a text to Sherlock Holmes, saying that the criminal was there and wanted to talk to him. Now Moriarty leaned back in his chair, smiling and drumming a tune on the table with his fingers.

As soon as he had gotten the call, Sherlock wasted no time in getting to the yard. The great detective had left his bed sheet and instead donned his usual clothing; a purple shirt with black trousers and black jacket. His outer clothing included the trench coat, a scar and smart shoes. Slipping his mobile into his pocket, Sherlock strode out of his apartment, disappearing down the stairs and slipping out of the building. Looking around, the detective had to move towards the main road before he could hail a cab to get to Scotland Yard but at long last he had arrived.
Striding through the yard, the world's only Consulting Detective noticed the gazes that watched him as he moved through the building, briefly talking to Lestrade before he was able to enter the room that Moriarty was being kept in. Slipping through the door, Sherlock closed it behind him and looked towards the criminal who sat before him. Giving himself up was something that Moriarty had done before and Sherlock suspected that he had a similar motive this time. To make a point, to show off. Of course, maybe he would be pleasantly surprised.
"I'm here,"[/b] He said, looking towards Moriarty as he moved closer to the man. "So what is it you want to tell me now."[/b] He said, his voice slow as his eyes flickered over Moriarty's form, looking for any clues that he could use to deduce Moriarty's reasoning behind this action. Knowledge was power and Sherlock was perfectly able to utilise his own abilities to gain the knowledge that he needed.
