Sherlock was sitting by the window, pointedly ignoring the other people and watching to see if any crime would happen on the streets while he was here. People stealing wallets or purses. London was notorious for such actions and many people had bags that were zipped and would remain in their line of sight all the time. To be honest, Sherlock didn't think he was going to eat lunch today, he simply wasn't hungry and this was merely to repay the favour to Molly. Sherlock had had to explain that to Angelo, who had been wondering what had happened to John. Humans often did have really simply minds.
It was at this moment that his phone began to ring, Sherlock slipped it out of his pocket and pressed the recieve button. The caller was Molly. So something must have happened, something that was not good. She was probably fine. So what could it be? Something stolen was the most likely conclusion, from her home, seeing as she was heading back. it was the only logical conclusion. "What's been stolen?" Sherlock asked as he put the phone to his ear.

Molly sighed in relief when Sherlock answered. "Well, I think it's just my grandma's locket, and it's really valuable, it's been in my family for generations." Molly explained. She began to look around, and within a few seconds she'd checked for anything else. "And one of my golden rings has gone, too."

Sherlock listened carefully as Molly spoke. "Well, I think it's just my grandma's locket, and it's really valuable, it's been in my family for generations." That said a lot. it was all that he actually needed to know. It was almost certainly someone who knew Molly well, despite the price. "And one of my golden rings has gone, too." Okay, that could mean that the thief had just got lucky with getting such an item. "Don't move anything, I'm coming over." Sherlock replied, getting up and leaving.
Catching a taxi he arrived at where Molly lived and knocked on the door. While he was waiting for Molly to answer, he started to study the door, looking for any sign of a forced entry. It appeared that either they owned a key, were an expert lock pick or they had found another way in. He'd be able to get down the ideas once inside and having head a good look around.

"Don't move anything, I'm coming over."
"Alright." Molly replied, and she hung up. She suddenly remembered something. Just as she began to look around, Toby came along. she sighed in relief and picked up her cat, stroking him.
When Sherlock knocked, she put Toby in his bed, and went to open the door. "Hey." she said, holding it open and stepping aside for him so he could enter. "Thanks for coming."

Sherlock entered as Molly opened the door. "Hey."[/color] Sherlock nodded in greeting and he looked around. He saw a cat, he had known Molly had a cat. At work, there was no sign of any fur, as that could contaminate the area. But when Molly did visit when she wasn't working, he noticed traces of fur. Moving over to examine, the cat, he checked the claws. No sign of having attacked anyone. Looked relaxed. Cats generally would be disturbed if a stranger enetered and some would attack, similar to how a dog might react.
Looking around, he saw other items that were not stolen, but could have been if someone was looking to steal something to sell. Yes, it was someone close to Molly. Then, he looked at other ways that someone could enter the house, just to be sure. "This person knew you. They either had a key or were expert at picking locks." Sherlock replied. Molly's flat did not leave any way to get in through the windows that he was aware of. But plenty of ways to get out. "Do you know if anyone you trust has had your key recently?" He asked.

Molly closed the door behind Sherlock and went with him while he looked around. Toby cocked his head curiously as Sherlock inspected him. He meowed a bit, and watched as Sherlock inspected the other bits of the wrecked room. Molly stroked Toby.
"This person knew you. They either had a key or were expert at picking locks." "Do you know if anyone you trust has had your key recently?"
Molly shook her head. "No, nobody has, so someone must have picked the lock."

"No, nobody has, so someone must have picked the lock." That was interesting. Someone evidentally had found out enough about Molly to then decide to pick the lock and steal something of value to her. "Do you know anyone who you have been close to and who now would havemalicous thoughts towards you?" Sherlock asked, examining the window. If the thief had made his escape that way, then there should be finger prints. No sign of them. The thief had entered through the door and left, locking up after him.

Molly thought for a moment. "Well, there was a family friend I met, once, and his son was with him, and my parents were talking about the locket, and he seemed rather interested in it. He asked for my address, and my mother gave it to him, and he came round one day to look at it, and he asked if I wanted to sell it, because it'd be worth a lot. I said I didn't want to, and put it back safely. It must have been him, I can't think of anyone else." she explained. Toby leaped out of his basket, nudged Sherlock with his head, and pattered towards the kitchen, looking back after a few steps. Molly watched him, raising an eyebrow. Toby meowed.

However, it was likely that it could be someone this son of a family friend had spoken to. Despite the big gap, friends of family generally did not steal, even if they were interested. Plus there was the thing about her golden ring being stolen. It was at that point that Sherlock felt something nudge him and his gaze turned to the cat. He walked to the kitchen, then stopped. Sherlock guessed that the cat was hungry, especially when he meowed. "I think your cat is hungry." Sherlock pointed out.
Still, he hadn't inspected the kitchen and with young people, there were cases of them leaving finger prints on containers of food because they snacked while they were stealing. So he followed the cat anyway.

Toby stopped in front of a tiny trace of blood, and he looked up at a few fingerprints on the worktop of the kitchen. He looked up at Sherlock. Molly frowned at the scene, but decided to let Sherlock get on with it. She fed Toby meanwhile, careful not to move much. Then she watched Sherlock to see what he would do now.

Sherlock looked at the blood, then he carefully put it into one of the petri dishes that he constantly carried out, a clean one. Then, he went to take pictures of the finger prints, carefully. He didn't know all the finger prints in the police dtatabase, but he could look through them tonight to see if it matched with any, although he doubted it. The blood probably came from the cat attacking, before the cat cleaned himself. So it was looking more likely that Molly's family friend's son had told someone about this and that they were the thief.

Molly watched Sherlock as he worked, she was a little tense but that didn't matter, because she had been robbed. "So, then...who do you think did it? The family friend's son?" she asked finally, after having watched him for quite a while.

Sherlock looked over at Molly as she spoke, and shook his head. "Doubt it. Things like that don't happen very often, although I will speak to him. Do you know where he lives? Or simply his name will suffice." Sherlock said, checking everything in the kitchen once again. "I think he probably mentioned it to someone and then they came to get it." Sherlock explained.

"His name is Jack Somers. Yeah, I know where he lives as well." Molly said. "Even if we do find out who did this, Jack's sly. He's probably already sold both the locket and the ring. He's such a...money lover." Molly chose wisely.

Sherlock shook his head. "That would be too obvious, easily traced. No, if you steal something of value and precious you wait until things will have died down and the owner will have lost hope. Then you can easily slip through security. People who see things on missing adds and have just brought such aon object will notice. If the addvertisement is old, then won't notice it at all. it will be forgotten, then they can be sold without the theif getting in any danger." Sherlock explained.
