"Thank you sir!" Sherlock nodded at Amy. It was no problem, he paid a lot of people to keep an eye on others. Mycroft, Moriarty, they were all on Sherlock's list of people to follow. He had added Sara to that list and John had been added ever since Moriarty threated his life. One thing Sherlock would not allow was John's life to be threated. John was the only interesting person that Sherlock had ever had on his side. All the other interesting people were on the other side to Sherlock for some reason. And a lot of boring people. Then most other people were in the blue.
"Yes,I found her outside, starving and freezing. Just outside our front door, Sherlock. And you were clearly home, otherwise you would have just bought milk while you were out instead of just asking for some. So why, why couldn't you have just given her a bloody blanket!? At least! And a piece of dry bread, of you're so self-" The detective stood, staring at Kaz, not speaking at all and waiting a good few seconds before deciding to talk. "I was out, in my mind palace, working on a very important job which the police had assigned me. I had no idea that Amy would be making an apperance. And I only just found out we had no milk." Sherlock looked slightly offended at Kaz's words. Not many people talked to him like that as well. Briefly he wondered if this was what it was like for everyone else.
"He's good, Kaz, he's a good gov'ner!" Amy stood up for him and Sherlock did not resist the urge to be a little bit childish, after all, he had gone to Buckingham palace in nothing but his sheets. "See." He commented. "I'm sorry, You gave her a paying job, I shouldn't be cross. I, uhm, also don't have milk. We were going to bake cake now so we need it anyway..." "I'm glad you've seen reason." Sherlock wondered who would have milk, he needed milk otherwise he would have no tea.
"Want to come in? I still have enough left for tea, if you want some. I kind of need to apologise for ranting just now. And talking your ears off." "I'm not hungry." The detective commented, but then he glanced over at Amy. "When you are finished eating, would you mind getting me some milk from the local shop. You can have £5 if you do." Sherlock really wanted his milk. "And I will take you up on your offer if I may wait with you. John's somewhere else."

"I'm glad you've seen reason," the detective said but Karen made no comment on it, simply rolling her eyes and closing the door as he stepped in. When Sherlock already offered another job to Amy - actually very similar to what she had offered a few moments ago - Karen smiled, walking into the kitchen again, turning on the kettle.
"Make that two," Kaz said with a wink at the younger girl. "Going to need a lot if we're going to make all the desserts I'm planning to."
Karen turned again, getting he cups as she listened. "And I will take you up on your offer if I may wait with you. John's somewhere else." Karen smiled in his direction, glad that he was (maybe?) warming up to her a bit. She had just shouted at him, and he was still here, so that was a good sign.
"But Sherlock's right, Amz, eat up first. Then you can go get the milk. I'll add 5 quid if you can eat it all up, too," she said, walking over to ruffle the girl's hair, laughing.

Amy remembered about Sherlock's mind palace. Sometimes she had wanted one of those in her head. It could be rather useful in her job. Still, maybe it would be bad if she did need one. Then she would probably be seeing plenty of criminals and needing to remember the person as well as whatever it was that they were doing. "When you are finished eating, would you mind getting me some milk from the local shop. You can have £5 if you do." "That is very kind of you, sir." Amy said, that was a high amount of money, he must really want his milk, although she had no idea why. She never really got to drink the stuff.
"Make that two, Going to need a lot if we're going to make all the desserts I'm planning to." "I can do that. It would be no problem." Amy said, wondering how useful this little job might be. "But Sherlock's right, Amz, eat up first. Then you can go get the milk. I'll add 5 quid if you can eat it all up, too," Amy nodded and hurried back to eat. She was glad that she was dismissed to eat as she was still rather hungry.

"That is very kind of you, sir." Sherlock ignored that. He just wanted milk so he could have his cup of tea. "Make that two, Going to need a lot if we're going to make all the desserts I'm planning to." "I can do that. It would be no problem." "Do you have everything else needed for tea?" Sherlock asked Kaz. If she didn't then he would get the milk then make his own tea and possibly come back to talk. The detective was bored. Maybe he could deduce some more things.
"But Sherlock's right, Amz, eat up first. Then you can go get the milk. I'll add 5 quid if you can eat it all up, too," It appeared that Amy would do rather well for today. "Karen, did you know that some humans have commented on John's Blog and my site because we live near you." The detective commented after a few seconds of awkward silence as Amy ate. The fact that some people only commented because he possible knew Karen annoyed the detective.

"Karen, did you know that some humans have commented on John's Blog and my site because we live near you." Sherlock said, rather than asked as the sentence itself would imply. Karen's eyebrows shot up, and she plopped the tea bags nonchalantly into the cups before turning to him, hands flat on the counter as she looked at him with mocking-amusement.
"Do you always specify the species of your blog commenters or did you just feel the need to because you believe extraterrestrials are interested in what you do?" Karen asked, flashing a smile before turning back to the tea-making. 'And yes, I do have everything. For cake, for tea, for scones, you name it."
Karen looked over to Amy, who still looked hungry after everything she ate. "Don't worry if you don't have room left for dessert, I have a fridge and you are going to come visit me again, right?" she asked the girl, teasingly as she reached for the sugar. "Sugar?" she asked the room.

Sherlock mainly spoke to Kaz and Amy didn't mind, she shoved food down her throat, enjoying the taste as well. It was nice how it was tasty, that wasn't a common thing for her. "Don't worry if you don't have room left for dessert, I have a fridge and you are going to come visit me again, right?" "Thank you so much. I'd be honoured to meet visit another time" Amy said, slipping back into her cockney accent. "I'll go to get the milk now." She added, standing up and moving towards the door. Sherlock handed her a £5 note and money for the milk and Amy headed towards the door. Kaz probably wanted the milk as soon as possible.

"Do you always specify the species of your blog commenters or did you just feel the need to because you believe extraterrestrials are interested in what you do?" Sherlock regarded Karen coldly as she said that. "If those existed and had intellegence to read, then they should be interested in it. And be humans I am classifying the usual boring group generally considered to be people but playing no significant role." The detective replied. "And yes, I do have everything. For cake, for tea, for scones, you name it." Good, he could have tea even quicker. Tea was good.
"Sugar?" Karen asked and Amy was heading to the door to get the milk. Sherlock handed her the money. "Quater of a tea spoon, please." Sherlock requested to Karen. "But the milk is the important thing." Maybe that was why they were always out of milk. It was just too important in tea.

"Thank you so much. I'd be honoured to meet visit another time. I'll go to get the milk now," the little helper said, her cockney accent adorable. Karen smiled at her as she walked away to do her job. "Be quick," Karen said, sounding rather like a protective mother. "And be safe!" she added, calling after Amy. She turned to Sherlock, raising an eyebrow. "If those existed and had intelligence to read, then they should be interested in it. And be humans I am classifying the usual boring group generally considered to be people but playing no significant role.""You know, you're human, too," she pointed out. "Like the most of us," she added jokingly. She added the quarter of a teaspoon of sugar to Sherlock's cup, and two to hers, none to Amy's (she didn't answer so Karen thought she'd just wait for her to cup back). Then all it needed was the milk, so Karen grabbed a twinkie - she always had twinkies), and made her way to the couch, plopping down. "I guess, now; we wait."She then bit into her twinkie, chewed, and pointedly ignored him. Just to get on his nerves.

Amy hurried out and went into the cold. She hadn't realised how cold it was outside when compared to inside. It was a fair walk to get the milk, but she didn't mind. In fact, Amy ran the way there and then brought the milk and carefully carried it back. "I'm back with milk!" She called at the door, wondering whether she should knock or just go in. The girl shifted from side to side and thought about what to do, hoping that people would open the door. She was slightly scared that she might have to do it herself.

The detective ignored Karen as she told Amy to be safe and what not. The girl was part of his Homeless Network and could take care of herself. The detective was certain. While she was not the most valuable she still proved useful. "You know, you're human, too," "As much as a despise it. But I am more intellgent than the rest of them." Sherlock replied. Sherlock was fine with waiting and began to instead investigate the area that Karen lived in, doing whatever he could to add extra bits of information to add to his mental room on Karen.

"I'm back with milk!" Karen heard from just outside the door, looking at it for a moment in confusion. Why didn't she just come in? Karen mouthed an 'oh' as it hit her; the poor girl had never lived in a house with a door. She didn't know what to do. She put down the rest of the twinkie and walked over to the door, opening it to the sight of Amy and the milk.
"Thank you, sweetie. You can come in," Karen said, taking the milk from the girl and walking over to the kitchen. She looked over to Sherlock as he spoke. "As much as I despise it. But I am more intelligent than the rest of them."
"The same could be said of your ego..." she muttered, getting out the recipe book for the desserts. "Amy, dear, pick anything and I - I mean, we - shall make it." she said, grinning.

"Thank you, sweetie. You can come in," Amy walked in through the door nervous and handed the milk to Karen. Sherlock ended up talking about the problems he found around humans. Amy knew it was better than to question Sherlock on such things. "The same could be said of your ego..." Amy had been following Kaz closley and giggled slightly at that. Not many people dared say something to Sherlock like that. Then Kaz got out a book and Amy stared at it. One thing the girl could do was read and her hands lightly touched the book in wonder. "Amy, dear, pick anything and I - I mean, we - shall make it." Amy slowly looked through the book, her attention completely focused on the words and the pictures.

Sherlock was delighted when milk finally arrived. "Finally." The detective sighed, standing up and walking into the kictehn, following the milk. His eyes rested on the tea and he simply stood around, patiently waiting for his tea to be completed. Karen made some comment about his ego but Sherlock wasn't bothered, although he was noting how she had a very strong personality.

Karen threw Sherlock a quick glare at his sighed "finally" before making her way to the tea cups, pouring in the newly acquired milk and handing him his cup.
"Enjoy, your royal highness," she said, adding a mocking curtsey as she turned back to Amy.
"See anything you like?" she asked the girl, cheerfully.

"Enjoy, your royal highness," Again Amy laughed at how Kaz said things to the detective. "He does keep the streets safe." She commented, reading through the book still. It was amazing. "See anything you like?" Kaz's voice was cheerful and the smile on Amy's face became childish as she responded. "Everything! You might want to choose, I can't make me mind up and I haven't hear of half the ingredients."
