Amy was hungry. It had been ages since she had made enough money to buy something and after all that time, it was started to get harder to get some money from pickpocketing or just lying around. people avoided her too much. It left her starved and she seriously needed more information to give to Sherlcok Holmes so hopefully she would have enough to get a meal, even if it were cold. So after a lot of observation, Amy decided to report and hope that something would be useful enough to grant her a few pence.
Sitting outside the Baker Street 221 building, Amy close her eyes and waited for someone to pass by, hopefully it would be Sherlock, if not, she would wait and see when he would come by. It was late in the evening and she was cold, with her old clothes, filled with holes. Curling into a ball, she pretended to sleep, but kept her ears open for the sound of anyone passing by. Each time footsteps sounded, her eyes would flicker open slightly and she would see if it was Mr Holmes. Amy gave a small shudder as a particularily cold wind blew down the street and continued to pretend to sleep.

Karen made her way home after the episode's read-through, still smiling. It was her first day and everyone was so nice! Her two co-stars were, quite frankly, awesome and they clicked immediatly. The producers told her she did brilliabtly, and ever since Kaz hasn't stopped smiling. That was until she reached Baker Street.
There was a small girl, curled up in a heap, apparently asleep. Karen knew that there were a lot of homeless children in London, but as the girl shivered in in the cold, it became a reality to her. She approached the girl slowly and crouched down.
"Hello..?" Karen asked softly, checking if the girl was awake.

"Hello..?" Amy opened her eyes in surprise, she realised that she had begun to drift off and she blinked a few times to try awaken her system. her dark eyes looked up at the speaker,a girl with ginger hair. Frowning for a few seconds, Amy tried to think where she had seen this face. "You're on the magazine. One of those people who does that cloth thing!" Amy stammered, trying to look for the words. "A model! you're one of them!"
This was confusing, Amy never saw any one famous, and hardly any one infamous, and this was not a place she expected to find one. Mind you, she could be going to see Sherlock Holmes to help with a case. But best not to mention that in case she was jsut a passer by. "What are you doing here? Don't all the famous sorts of people go elsewhere?" She asked, not realising that she was being a bit impolite until after she had gone through the words in her head.
"I'm sorry. That was rude of me. I didn't mean to be rude." Amy said, leaning back against the wall of the building and wrapping her arms around her legs. "Sorry. I didn't mean to btoher you." She said softly.

"I'm sorry. That was rude of me. I didn't mean to be rude. Sorry. I didn't mean to bother you."
"Sweetie, it's fine,[/i] Karen reassured the sweet girl, smiling softly. "You didn't bother me, at all, okay? And I live here. For now, anyway. What's your name?" Karen asked kindly.

"Sweetie, it's fine, Amy watched the stranger, the model, her eyes wary. No one spoke to her in such nice tones, not in ages. The rest of the homeless people were always neutral even the older man who taught her how to read and pickpocket and been mostly neutral in his tone. "...Okay...?" Amy said, nervously, looking at the model. "Don't supporse you have any spare coins?" She said softly, while she was here, it was worth asking, anyway.
]"You didn't bother me, at all, okay? And I live here. For now, anyway. What's your name?" For now... it seemed like this person might be getting a better pay and moving, then. "I'm Amy. Just Amy. You?" She asked, with a small smile, not everyone, or many people asked her name. And when they did, they were generally those people who wanted to put her in one of those places where they tried to get you back into society and they wanted her full name. Amy wasn't too keen on those.

"It's nice to meet you, Amy. My name's Karen, but you can call me Kaz, if you want," Karen said and stood up straight. "Coins? No, 'fraid not. Although I think I left my stash in the flat. No idea where... Tell you what, if you can find them, you can keep them? Plus, there is way too much food, no idea how I'm going to eat it all. And I really need a test subject for that new bed in the guest room. What do you think, will you help a silly old model?" Karen asked and winked.

"It's nice to meet you, Amy. My name's Karen, but you can cakk me Kaz, if you want," Amy watched Kaz, deciding to go with the nickname, and then gave a small smile. "Its nice to meet you, Kaz." She said, going to hold out her hand to shake, before stopping. her hand was rather dirty and she doubted that a model would want to shake hands with someone as unclean as her.

Amy's eyes widdened and she briefly thought about her initial purpose, hesitating. But she had no real information. It was probably unimportant. Then, the twelve year old nodded enthusiastically. "It sounds like fun." She said, getting up. Pushing her hair back, Amy took another look at Kaz and then smiled. "You're the nicest person I've met." She said, softly. No one else had offered her a game, food and a place to stay for the night.

"You're the nicest person I've met."
Karen's heart felt warm at her words. She loved the feeling and smiled, absolutely happy. "Come on then, Amy. Let's make a night of it." Karen said, unlocking the door and leading Amy up to her flat.
She opened the door to her flat, every inch combed with a fine tooth comb by a proffesional interior designer. She turnedvto Amy, hesistaying to ask as she didn't want to be rude, But if it was me, I'd probably drown myself in a shower right now..." "Do you want to hop into the shower while I hide a le monies?"
Karen didn't mind Amy being dirty, but asked for Amy's benefit.

Amy watched Kaz, and as she smiled, Amy gave a beam, it was nice to have someone being nice. "Come on then, Amy. Let's make a night of it." "Thank you." Amy said, wondering if she should hug Kaz. It was something that girls who lived normal lives had. But Amy was used to being apart, to having to survive alone for days on end if she had to. And while she would shake hands with others, contact with others was not something she particularily enjoyed. It was just something that she never had gone through.
Slowly heading inside, nervous at being in a building, she looked up at the roof, something that she only ever had when there were no walls. And the air was still and at a different temperature. "Its so different..." She muttered, looking around. "Do you want to hop into the shower while I hide a le monies?" Amy bit her lip, a shower sounded good, but she had only ever used public ones. "How do I use it? I've never used a private shower?" She said.

'Oh, bless!' Karen thought and smiled, leading her to the bathroom. She opened the shower curtain as she told Amy what to do. "You can bathe, too, if you want. Just press this button if you wabt the water to come out of the shower head, and press this button if you want the water to come out of here. To wash your hair..." Karen continued, telling Amy how to use shampoo, and then conditioner, handed her a puff and told her which shower gel to use and which soaps if she wanted a bath. "If you put this in while your water's pouring in, it makes soooo many bubbles! Here's a towel, I'll go look for some clothes. Are you alright? If you need help just shout." Karen's maternal instict was in overdrive.

Amy followed Kaz to the bathroom and she watched the different parts of the bathroom. It was luxerious! "You can bathe, too, if you want. Just press this button if you wabt the water to come out of the shower head, and press this button if you want the water to come out of here. To wash your hair..." Amy watched nervously, trying to remember all of the different ideas. "If you put this in while your water's pouring in, it makes soooo many bubbles! Here's a towel, I'll go look for some clothes. Are you alright? If you need help just shout."
"Okay, think I've got it." She said, slipping out of her clothes and turning the shower on, experimenting with the different heats until she found a low one that did not hurt her skin. Washing her hair was also good and Amy didn't know how long it had been since she was last clean. For once, she felt perfectly clean, as if there was no dirt on her at all. Getting changed back into her normal clothes after drying herself, she looked around for Kaz.

"Oh, no no no, out of those clothes, missy. No getting dirty again so soon," Karen said playfully, handing Amy a pile of clothes. It was Karen's old clothes she had brought along and at the time she didn't really know why. But everything for a reason, eh?
"You're a really pretty girl, Amy," Kaz smiled and said before she cold stop herself; everyone deserves to know they're pretty.

"Oh, no no no, out of those clothes, missy. No getting dirty again so soon," Amy blinked, then quickly took off her old clothes and put them to the side. She couldn't see a bin, or anything that looked like a bin. Despite not being used to company, Amy was completely fine with getting dressed infront of strangers. It was something she had to be used to. Getting into the new clothes, Amy gave a small smile. "Thanks. I haven't had new clothes for ages." She said, although she didn't have much concept of time.
"You're a really pretty girl, Amy," Amy blinked, no one had ever told her this and it suprised her. "No, you are beautiful." She said, holding her hand out to shake. "I figure that now I'm all clean that it would be better for shaking hands.2 She said, giving a smile. "And thanks for the shower, it was lovely."

Amy stuck out her hand to shake it but Karen chuckled. "Come 'ere." Karen pulled her into a hug. She onky just met the girl and didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable so she pulled away. She smiled, picking up the old clothes and throwing them in a bin in the kitchen. "Hope you don't mind."

"Come 'ere." Amy blinked and then she was suddenly in a hug. Freezing because of the contact, she then relaxed and hugged Kaz back, a smile on her face. She hadn't been hugged since her mother had died. "I haven't had a hug in a very long time. Many winters." She said, trying to remember which ones were months and years. She always got them mized up. One was harder to tell than the others. One could be judged by the seasons... the other by the moon.
"Hope you don't mind." "No, its fine. It was quite nice. Me father only hurt me, and me mother didn't have much time on her hand for family. It was only her that had time for families and hugs." Amy said, her face a bit sad, and her fingers tracing a light scar she had on her arm from her father.
